Information note:
Tolbachinskiy group of volcanoes.
One of the most beautiful and greatest eruptions of 20 century began in summer of 1975 in a central
part of the Kamchatka peninsula.
In 30 kms from the volcano Tolbachik
the ground moved apart, and forth magma began to gush from the depth of a planet.
Eruption proceeded the whole year.
By geological concepts it has been recognized to be catastrophic.
The huge area was covered with lava streams, bombs,
the layer of dropped out ashes and slag reached 7 meters.
In vicinities of a volcano all alive has been destroyed. Eruption process constantly changing,
passed from one place to another.
The landscape changed too, new cones, new volcanos, valleys
of the lava rivers were formed.
The lava streamed from the splits in the ground, ash clouds rose from new cones on multikilometer height.
After the giant stoped its action, the lunar landscape was formed on this place.
And the slag fields of Tolbachik were used for the testings of the Moon rover, and then of the Mars rover.
Now Tolbachik- is a unique tourist object. The Eruption fished long time ago, but there is a gas activity
in some cones nowadays.
On the southern cone there is a place where the temperature is so high, that a slice of a piece of paper,
laying on the slag,
flares up itself in 10 seconds.
In lava caves explorers are training, fans of mountain bicycles have chosen the slag cones for their tours.
The area has gradually changed for 25 years.
On lava streams grow young birches and poplars. In the bushes of a red currant elks are grazing.
Hares roam on the black fields. The life comes back in Tolbachik.
Tolbachik is accessible to the all people.
Volcanos Flat and Sharp Tolbachik are on the southern end of Kluchevskaya group of volcanos.
The route into the area of a volcano Flat Tolbachik and to the place of eruption of the volcano Tolbachik (1975-1976)
can be made by car,
from the settlement Kozyrevsk, moving up to seismic base "Vodopadnaya", which is situated at height of 800 meters
on a slope of the volcano.
The track the top of the volcano passes through lava streams and places of falling of the volcanic bombs formed
in 1941 during the eruption of Flat Tolbachik.
You will be surprised with the views, which are similar to the lunar landscape; it is a zone of a modern volcanism.
Volcanists will share with you their knowledge of eruptions of the volcano Tolbachik, their postvolcanic activity
and products of the volcanic eruptions.
The special preparation and the mountaineer equipment are not necessary for this route.
Do not miss the opportunity to visit volcanos of Kamchatka.
Itinerary:
Day 1.
Arrival, meeting in the airport with representatives of "Focus Travel". Transfer.
Accommodation at the resort hotel (Paratunskaya zone). Acquaintance.
Preparation for departure to the rout. Rest, bathing in the pool, dinner. Night's lodging at the resort hotel.
Day 2.
Breakfast. Leaving by car to Kosyrevsk, night's lodging at the bank of the river Kamchatka
(tents).
Day 3.
Continuation of the car trip, arriving at the point of 900m of Tolbachinsky valley.

Ascending Flat Tolbachik. Night's lodging at the bank of the Vodopadnaya-river (tents).
Day 5.
Sightseeing of northern place of eruption (1975-1976).Night's lodging (tents).
Day 6.
Sightseeing of southern place of eruption (1975-1976) through Dead Forest.
Observing the places of lava flood flowing. Night's lodging (tents).
Day 7.
Excursion round the Southern cone. Night's lodging (tents).
Day 8.
Breakfast. Returning to the place of parking the car. Rest. Night's lodging (tents).
Day 9.
Transfer to the settlement Esso. Bathing in the pool with thermal water.
Lodging at the hotel for the night.
Day 10.
Arriving to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Accommodation at the resort hotel,
bathing in the pool with thermal water. Dinner. Staying at the hotel for the night.
Day 11.
Free time. Staying at the hotel for the night.
Day 12.
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport. Departure.
The price includes:

Recommendations for the route:
This route does not require special travel skills, but it contains many natural obstacles.
It is not recommended for the persons being in need of medical treatment and constant medical observation.
List of the recommended equipment:
1. Footwear: light trekking boots and gaiters are good for these routes. It is desirable to have Gore-Tex boots, or well impregnated leather boots. High hip-boots are good too.
2. Sleeping-bag + rug (it's desirable)
3. Personal crockery (travel mug, bowl, spoon, fork)
4. Folding knife
5. Personal hygiene items
6. Clothing: field dress - trousers weatherproof jacket (made of thick cloth -light tarpaulin, moisture- wind-proof cloth and so on) is preferable, because it is ventilated,
7. Moisture- wind-proof dress made of cloth like Gore-Tex or its analogues.
8. Underwear (thin flis or wool)
9. Trousers made of flis (wool)
10. Warm jacket made of flis (sweater)
11. Woolen (flis) cap
12. Warm gloves moisture-wind-proof mittens (Gore-tex overmittens)

13. Socks: thin - 2 pairs, warm - 2 pairs (if you are in boots - 3 pairs). It's optimal to have socks made of wool and synthetic, "terry type", as they don't rub sore feet so much.
14. Flash light (it's better if it can be warn on the forehead)

Comments::
1. During the trip tourists carry their personal clothes+food and equipment
(tents, cooking ware, petrol).
2. On the route guides ensure the work of the primus-stove, camp-fire and helps cooking.
3. Porter service does not included in the tour cost, but can be organized.
