There are more than 400 fish species in the sea surrounding Kamchatka
In the Bering sea - 394 species, in the Sea of Okhotsk - 270.
In the Pacific Ocean specific structure is even more various and includes different kinds of fish, for example, kinds of cod, flatfish, herring, silver smelt capelin, sea perch, sea bullheads, salmon, loaches, sub-kinds of grayling and also sea invertebrates (they live in protected from the surf waters, in the reefs).

Gadoids: wallye Pollock, Pacific Cod, Northern Codor,Arctic Cod.
Pleuronectidae: Pacific Halibut, Greenland turbot, Kamchatka flounder, Yellowfin sole, Rock sole, Alaska place, Longhead dab, Flathead sole, Sakhalin place, Starry founder, Korean flounder, Thorny flounder.

Clupeidae: Herring.
Osmeridae: Capelin, Rainbowsmelt,
Ammodytidae: Pacific sand lance.
Hexagrammidae: Atka mackerel, Rock greenling, Masked greenling, White spotted greenling, sablfish.
Scorpaenidae: Shortraker rockfish, Pacific ocean perch, Blue rockfish, Rougheye rockfish, Shortspine thornyhead, Longspine thornyhead.

Salmon. Pacific salmon: Pink salmon, Chum salmon, Sockey salmon, Coho salmon, King salmon, Cherry salmon.
Salmo: mikizha, Atlantic salmon.
Salvelinus: loach, char.
Kamchatka grayling.

Sea invertebrates:
There are various shellfishes, worms, small crayfish, starfish, shrimps, etc among the reefs, proteted from surf.
Among crabs in coastal waters one should mention Kamchatka crab, hairy and thorny, snow crab.
The most important for fishing is Kamchatka crab, which is notable for its large size. One can catch it in the water about.75 m deep along all the seacoast of Kamchatka
The major jam of crabs is observed near the west shores.
Crab is highly valuable and very tasty.

Sea invertebrates are divided into:
Decapoda(paralithodes- Kamchatka crab, Blue crab, Thorny crab; Lithodes - lithodes aequispina), Crabs(Chionoecetes Opilio, Chionoecetes Bairdi, erimacrus isenbeckii, Telmessus cheiragonus).
Shrimps: Pondalus goniurus, Pondalus borealis, Pondalus hyposinotus, Lebbeus groenlandi, Argis lar lar, Sclerocrangon boreas.
Other species of invertabrates: Shellfish ( Pacific and Commander Octopus, Common octopus), Cucumaria japonica, Aquatic plant.

Sea animals.
There are 7 kinds of flipper-legged in Kamchatka: walrus, sea-lion, fur seal, Phoca vitulina kurilensis Inukai , Phoca largha Pallas , Erignatus barbatus erxleben, Phoca hispida Schreber.
Walruses are the only representatives of their family, Sea lion and northern fur seal refer to the family of eared seals, Phoca vitulina kurilensis Inukai, Erignatus barbatus erxleben, - to the famlies of common and earless seals.
All the kinds of flipper-legged are well-adapted to the life in the water but on the level with it they form coastal or ice rookeries and sealeries.

The most numerous are eared seals.
Their rookeries remained only on the Comandor Isles, where they dwell since May to November.
Their rookeries take up wide sandy beaches.
The hunting on these animals is controlled.
5 species of real seals one can meet in the coastal waters of Kamchatka.
A spotted seal.
inhabits the shallows and river lagoons.
Very often it comes into the rivers for fishing and goes several km up of a river.
Phoca hispida Schreber and Erignatus barbatus erxleben are rather rare.
Phoca vitulina kurilensis Inukai belongs to the endangered species.
A stripped seal also belongs to the fin-footed but one can meet it rare.
Sea-lions are large sea mammals. Their rookeries can be found almost everywhere along the coast.
Sometimes one can see walrus, that can be met everywhere before, up to the Kronotsky Cape.
Today it unhabits near Karaginsky Island.

Different species of whales inhabited everywhere near the Kamchatka's coasts .
Fin back, spurm whale, bottlenose, killer whales are more spread than Blue whale, Iwashi wahle, razor-back.

In the 70s people hunted for whales near Kamchatka.
In the result there are almosy no whales nera the western coast and near the eastern coast are very rare.
Today whales are not hunted, many of them are protected.
The largest world mammal the bluewhale is under the threat of distruction.
All the whales belong tje the endangered species.
